Where I work

Local along the Wasatch Front, remote everywhere else.

Riverton, in Salt Lake County, is home base, and Cottonwood Heights is squarely in the area I serve. Cottonwood Heights brands get a local partner who knows the Utah ecommerce scene, and the same fixed-price services as everyone else. Why a local Shopify developer

Local to Utah, built to work anywhere.

Local to Utah

Utah has one of the densest DTC communities in the country, and Ecomstrat is part of it: a local consultancy based in Riverton, working on Utah time with brands across the Wasatch Front.

Run by an operator

I run a Shopify store of my own, so I look past the theme into shipping rules, discounts, inventory and fulfillment. Recommendations cover the front end and the back end.

No agency layers

You get one senior developer, fixed prices agreed before any work, and code and data that stay yours. No retainers, no account managers, no lock-in.

Questions Cottonwood Heights brands ask first.

Do you work with stores outside Salt Lake City?

Yes. Most of my clients are outside Utah. Everything I do runs through the Shopify admin, GitHub and Zoom, so a store in Ohio gets exactly the same work as one in Sandy. Being local just means Utah brands get a partner in their own time zone who knows the Utah ecommerce scene.

Which parts of Utah do you serve?

Ecomstrat is based in Riverton and serves Salt Lake County, Utah County, Davis County, Weber County and Summit County. That covers Salt Lake City, Sandy, Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, Herriman, Bluffdale, Murray, Lehi, American Fork, Orem, Provo, Bountiful, Layton, Ogden and Park City. Anywhere along the Wasatch Front counts as local.

Are you an agency or one person?

One senior developer who also runs a DTC store. You talk to the person who does the work, there are no account managers, and prices are fixed before anything starts.

What do you charge?

Each service has a fixed price agreed up front. The CRO first look is free. Audits, testing, development, apps, dashboards, cleanup and migrations are quoted separately, so you only pay for what you use.

Can you help a brand that is not on Shopify yet?

Yes. Moving from BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, Wix or Squarespace to Shopify is one of the six services. Products, customers, orders, redirects and the theme come across, with a rollback plan.
